LUSH Angels on Bare Skin cleanser, Daddy-O shampoo, American Dream conditioner, MISS SHOP nail polish, AMERICAN APPAREL leather medium coin purse
I don't think I've ever really done like a 'haul' post, but I probably should from now on? I'm actually waiting for a pair of UO sandals and my Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner to come in, which should be soon, and I bought a pair of loafers the other day too.. Anyway, trials finished yesterday! Chemistry lucky last, ha, it used to be my favourite subject until I screwed up in the 3rd assessment task, lost my top 10 rank and now I've kind of just lost hope for it. These trials were actually the worst round of assessments I'd done for the whole year. If you were to go through each of my subjects and ask me if I was prepared for the exam in the morning of the actual exam, then my answer would be no. For every single bloody subject. Literally winged English both paper 1 and 2, and senior science. Left all my studying for the night before, argh. But anyway, all this depressing trial-talk aside, since exams were done, I went out right after to Nick's place and went shopping.
The plan for yesterday was: lunch, Lush, salt caramel macarons, Moochi, Myer/American Apparel, so we went to Sushi Hotaru for lunch first. I'm pretty sure Sushi Hotaru is the best sushi train I've been to (but that's because I've only really been to, like, 4) in terms of taste and price. Pretty sure me and Nick have figured that our favourites are the seared scallop and salmon ones, soooo good. After that, we found Lush in QVB, where I probably spent too long looking and smelling everything, being indecisive then finally actually deciding to buy the a shampoo, conditioner and cleanser. I usually wouldn't even spend that much on cosmetics so hopefully these products actually work out for me. I've tried (and fallen for) the Angels of Bare Skin cleanser though, it immediately made my skin smoother after just one use! Very glad I decided to buy it almost last minute. I haven't tried the hair products yet, but they smell really good and I'm *hoping* my hair will be softer, shinier and more hydrated soon. :(
We then went to Myer so I could finally buy my long-awaited American Apparel leather coin purse, since I'd finally decided that I should buy it despite the price (I'm comforting myself with the fact that it's made from real and very supple leather and I LOVE the gold zipper), and Nick said he wanted to buy a new cardigan. When he actually found one that he liked and we were in the line to way, I started having second thoughts about my coin purse cos I wasn't sure if I'd get sick of a black coin purse too quickly, so we were going to leave the store (we'd gone two escalators down already) when I changed my mind LOL so we went back up and bought it, and I spontaneously decided on this peachy and very-close-to-neon-but-not orange nail polish. It was either the orange, a neon yellow or a nice minty green-blue, but I don't have anything like this orange. Sounds gross, but it reminds me of the orange-cheese you'd find in McDonalds burgers, specifically the fillet-o-fish for some reason.. LOL. We were in a rush, so we quickly got some green tea and watermelon Moochi, then went to Coco Noir and bought a salt caramel and passionfruit macaron, right before leaving for the train home. AND WHEN I GOT HOME I COULDN'T BLOODY OPEN THE NAIL POLISH. It was screwed on so freakin' tightly, I had to submerge it in hot water while silently praying the glass wouldn't crack under the high temperature and cut my fingers and get nail polish in the cuts.. LOL. If anyone wanted to know, then it dries matte and one layer was more opaque than I thought it'd be.
Anyway, to all those still doing their trials: good luck! Give the exams everything you've got, so that you can walk out knowing you did everything you could, and at least you pushed yourself to your hardest. Gay, but I'm disappointed with how I went so I'm just hoping I won't be this underprepared for the HSC.
