Clockwise: new suede lace up wedges from Rubi shoes, suede and fake crocodile bag with detachable longer strap from Sportsgirl, black suede chelsea boots from Rubi shoes, black ribbed skirt from Supre, embroidery floss and fake roses from Spotlight

Was supposed to hardcore study today so I plan to after this blog post. Decided to blog after receiving a lovely comment asking if I could blog about my recent buys and stuff like that -- since it's a rare occurrence for me to get a comment at all, consider this a celebratory post. Or something.

Since before I left for PE camp, all the clothing/shoes I've bought recently is either black or suede (or both). When I bought this bag from Sportsgirl, I was pretty psyched cos I saw it ages ago and now it was finally on sale at less than half price.. But to be honest, it was a let down. The long strap is way too long and since they're only attached by buttons, the strap falls off if I have anything too heavy in it, meaning I can't bring my camera. Would've been a cute bag if the long strap wasn't so dodgy. :( On the other hand, I am loving these shoes from Rubi! Wore the wedges to Jenny's party, and have been able to pair these chelsea boots with most of my wardrobe. They're so versatile and so easy to put on (no laces = win), such a good steal for half price at Rubi. The black skirt I bought from Supre was more of an impulse buy, but it was only $5 and after Jenny's party, I've come to realise that I don't wear skirts or dresses enough. Not like I'm going to start wearing dresses to every party from now on (and to be honest, it felt so weird to be wearing something so flowy and girly at Jenny's, lol) but this skirt is a start.. And easily makes my legs look longer. Finally went to the new Spotlight with my sister and picked up some embroidery floss and fake roses. And yes, the fake roses were an impulse buy as well, but I'll promise myself I'll actually make a crown (inspired by Vanessa from Animalist and Connie from K is for Kani) this time, instead of buying fake flowers and not doing anything with them. Saw Vivian buying embroidery floss too, hehe, pretty sure we were both dead set wanting to make some friendship bracelets after finding this post on Honestly WTF.

And guess what bitches, my HTC Desire HD finally arrived in the mail, yay! Loving the huge screen and have spent 5 hours after opening it updating contacts, linking my social networking accounts and syncing files from my computer onto this beauty. Yes I haven't been this excited in a while! :D

I know some people who would kill to be you

Cupcakes with pretty frosting and sprinkles that I made with Jacqueline and Jennifer last week, my cat's socks

Argh I can't find the charger for the Canon and both battery's are out. I wouldn't mind using my dad's Samsung but the photo quality actually turns out different in some lighting (first photo), how annoying. Assessments are piling up, so this is a quick post before I start getting shit done. It was a closed weekend yesterday meaning an early finish at 2.00pm, and I managed to score a pair of black suede chelsea boots for half price! I remember when I first saw them, too. Thought they looked dumb, but I take that back. They're so versatile, and since they have that elastic part, it's so much easier to get on and off compared too all my other boots or lace ups or anything - so yay for chelsea boots.

Did I mention that I actually made it to regionals for cross country? I got a permission note off my PE teacher, and the carnival's on the 16th.. the same day I'll be leaving the comfort of technology and sanitation to the Budawangs for 3 days. I didn't actually know that there was actually a place called the Budawangs, I thought it was just slang.. For this whole term, we've been focusing on what to bring, how to navigate using a compass and watching Bear Grylls in PE in preparation for this camp. I haven't even started packing, too! Anyway, this is just a heads up. I'll be returning on Saturday night - hopefully it'll be an amazing experience!

You see me rollin'

I love Sarah McNeil. :( Everything about her works are just so quiet and soft and delicate and so so so perfect. For me, she is pure inspiration and seriously, I aspire to be like her. You can find more of her works here.

Zzz I feel sorry for my few readers, I haven't blogged anything substantial in what feels like forever, or maybe my life is really that boring. :( See that drawing of the cat up there? With the Micky Mouse pants and split head? Hopefully in the near future, a life sized version of that will be pasted on the school walls. Yeah, that's how we roll in art elective. :D LOL nah but any suggestions (on the cat one) to make it cuter or anything, or any feedback? The other drawings are the other ones I did but decided not to use. Compared to Sarah McNeil's works above, mine look like a load of crap. :(

Yesterday was a closed weekends, meaning all the boarders at my school (because our school's a boarding school for those who want it) get to go home to their families for the weekend and school finishes at 2pm for everyone! :D So after school, Nick drove me, Grace and Vivian to Cabramatta so we wouldn't have to run for the train, haha. We went to the library and did some homework and found some other people there. Nick helped Danica and Simon with mathematical induction, and then complained about how he didn't have a tutoring job while heaps of his other friends did. He didn't even apply for a job, LOL. then me and Nick took a break and went to Woolies to buy chocolate and unhealthy junk food since I was feeling hopeless about work. :( This happens every week when I do homework, seriously, I hate it .. But after asking heaps of questions and probably annoying the crap out of my friends, I finally get it. :$ Me and Nick left the library at around 6pm, drove home, my dad brought home some chicken laska for me and nasi goreng for Nick and omg it was so spicy. :( For those who don't know then I really can't take spicy food, my face was getting hot and sweaty after like 4 bites. :( Anyway, apart from that we got a notification for an English assessment coming up in around 2 weeks! Just thinking about it makes my heart sink, no matter how cliche that sounds, because it actually does. :'( Oh and today I saw Sir Mai at a restaurant in Cabramatta! Funny how I could tell from such small indications: his very nice fingernails, watch, gold bracelet, polo shirt, D&G glasses and gold chained necklace .. LOL. I didn't say hi though because he didn't see me. I haven't seen him in ages. :( Anyway, time to go study, hope everyone has fun tonight if they're going out while I get annoyed that my new red pen has such a dull colour (my old one ran out, I've had it for more than a year and it was such a good pen, the ink was vibrant, it was smooth and the weight of the line was fine but not too skinny. Perfect. /homo).

Oh and sorry readers, for such boring photos. Seriously I don't even know if I've taken any photos this week, I don't even know what I've been doing but I don't think anything interesting has been going on. :( Oh and I forgot to mention, I'm going out with my sister tomorrow to see Ghospatrol! He'll be at Cockle Bay Wharf in Sydney tomorrow from around 12-3pm, making artworks for charity. It's a free event, so if you guys have to time and are willing to, then come! :D

Only you

Source: mon dieu!

Since there's evidence on Formspring that people actually read my blog (LOL), I'll post something instead of doing school cert past exams, even though my exams are tomorrow. And that there are 3 units of science that I totally don't know anything about, and teacher say they're pretty sure are in the exam tomorrow.

Yesterday was a pretty long day. I don't really feel like going too much into it since I've already replied it in a question on Formspring (here). I bought a new swimsuit, though! It looks like the one I wanted from Asos (I think I had a picture of that one 2 posts down, or something?), except the one I bought has straps and it has slight rouching (seriously I have no idea how to spell it or anything, if it's even a word, Idk cuz Google is confusing me nao) at the bottom. Originally, I had this supermad plan where I'd buy a swimsuit, preferably bandeau that had underwire and I'd stud the boob area with these iron on silver dome studs that I bought off eBay but never used. So finally, I bought the swimsuit and now, I don't know if I'm going to do it or not because: a) I still haven't decided if it looks slutty or not, b) the fucking rouching part is making shit confusing to stud, c) the swimsuit I bought has so padding so things could poke out when things get cold (LMAO :$$), and d) if I did stud it, I'm not sure where to stud. So there's a lot of shit that I don't know what to do about, but I'm going to have to buy padding to sew in. I don't even know if I can sew it in, too cuz seriously, the rouching at the bottom is messing everything up. Even though it's really slight, even though the rest of the swimsuit would pretty much be alright, it messes everything up. Q__Q~ So I'm gonna have to check Spotlight and find padding, see if I can figure out how to insert it and everything. Ugh. If anyone's wondering why I didn't just buy the one off Asos, then nuu, they don't have my size. :(

Nick came over and fell asleep on my couch yesterday. So I took the time to get some SC past exam papers done, LOL. I did the multiple choice for last year's science exam .. It wasn't too bad. But there's so much I need to look over! After the yearly exams, we've gone through around 3 topics (cuz we didn't have enough time) and I haven't been doing anything, so I don't know anything! I really shouldn't be blogging, but okay. :(

The structure of this post is so weird, but I wish I could draw like this! Source: mon dieu!

You can make it

People who know me would know that I stress out a lot about exams and assignments, and that I study a lot but that only gets me average marks, and that I always stay up really late cramming assignments. So lately I haven't been feeling too cool and have become really stressed out with the exams and shit. It's only year 10 and all the seniors would tell me that I don't know anything until I hit year 11, but it's not like I can just fail this year. :s

Only motivation for exams -- I will maybe be allowed to get a piercing that I would never be allowed to get if I just asked normally with my average marks and 95-97%s in maths. Cuz, being Asian, maths is only really good when it's 100%. So my plan for this holidays is to study like heaps, and then strike up a deal with my parents so that if I get really good in my exams (so they'd probably want all band 6's for my SC or something crazy like that) then I'll be allowed to get a conch or tragus piercing. I'm not sure which yet, so I haven't asked.

Anyway, the whole point of this blog was supposed to list and post up some of my inspirations to do well, the people I kinda look up to, stalk and want to be like.

I so, so wish I could draw like this! I mentioned her a few posts ago but it was from a different blogger. Those of you who read Frankie magazine would maybe recognise her, if you read the issue she featured in. But honestly, I love love love the details and the thin strokes, omg everything. I just wish I could draw stuff like this. :0

Tasha Nghiem is so, so perfect. I've mentioned her on Twitter and I've reblogged her on Tumblr. She's so pretty, can sing, is so smart, looks good in lenses (LOL), has motivation to work hard and stay healthy, and still has a social life. I wish I could be like her, she's so smart lol, and she always seems to be so motivated to study, or go for a run or anything. :I

Her artworks are so, so cute! :D I love how they're so simple but they're still so nice. This is another reason why I wanna continue art in senior years, cuz maybe I could do stuff like this. I love it, omg.

I saw her on Lookbook before I found her blog, but I love her looks! I can't even tell what nash she is, though, but a few days ago I found out she was following/reading Manisay's blog. :I #jealous But she is so pretty, love love love. :D

I know I should

Anyway, I've also realised that it's 12:09pm, I got out of bed at around 10:30am and I haven't eaten/drank anything except for a cup of milk. I'm actually kinda hungry, but this is why I hate the holidays. Especially the holidays now, the ones right after term 3.
  • I don't eat properly because I can't be bothered and I'm studying
  • I don't wake up properly because there's no motive
It seems that every time I study for the whole day, then I always skip meals. This was before the holidays, even. That time when I kept bringing chicken and rice to school for lunch? That was meant to be my dinner for one night, LOL, dinner I didn't eat because I was writing science notes. I'm also really, really lazy to cook stuff as well. The only thing I can be bothered to actually cook is just scrambled eggs, or boiled eggs. I've been eating really, really unhealthily these holidays and for the weeks a little before holidays. :S I exercise but I don't think it's good exercise, it's just sit ups to wake up or while I study for PEAK. So it's actually pretty bad. I really hope I don't lose weight. :SS

Maybe I should go to Valley Plaza, where I can buy ingredients to make something. That'll be fun, cuz I always jog 3/4 the way home (which is just 7 minutes of flat jogging/running) and I always feel really good about it when I get home. :D

I also wish I could draw like this (especially the one in the top photo, on the right). This is partly why I really like art. I'm still not sure if I should do bio or art next year. I think if I stick with bio, then I'll be stuck with too many 'remembering' subjects (like ag, and I heard PE was like that too), and I'm just going to collapse under the pressure. Oh yeah, time to anonymously ask ex-students questions about their high school subjects, through Tumblr ask and Formspring. :D I'm pretty sure my sister's into this, and sometimes she says she wishes she went to do fine arts in uni, instead of design. And I love how little illustrations like these always pop up in Frankie magazine. I don't even read it and tbh, I only like the pictures, photoshoots and article where they compare things, in Frankie. :I The actual other articles are mostly not my thing. But yeah, one day you'll see me out there with drawings like these. :D That'd be so cool.

Cuz there are other things I'd rather do

In the morning I woke up and thought, I don't wanna study. Then I realised that a lot of other people hadn't started studying, possibly around the same amount of people who had started studying. So I thought, Heo yeah, fuck studying, since no one else is at home today, I'm gonna go on Yuuchoob and (unrelated, but: OMG I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE ON FLICKR DISABLE DOWNLOADING OF THEIR FOTOZ, HIEOEWFRWTGFK) I'm gonna search up 'tutorials' of how to learn the dance for Genie by SNSD! In the shower, I was full thinking about it and thinking like, Finally, I have the motivation to learn it and I'll be so cool cuz I can dance Genie, and then I got out of the shower and could hear that Genvin was home. Fmlz, LOL. :(

For this whole holiday, the only place I've been 'out' was just yesterday, at tutor. To be honest, I don't really remember the last time I went out out with friends, like to the city or somewhere that requires me to take public transport there. But that's also because I'm not really thinking about it much, but last time I went out out was probably to .. The birthday before Angela's? That seems like a while ago. Everyone has been going to the library or going to other people's houses to study, and it feels like I'm the only one who decides to stay at home to study. Makes me feel so lonely, LOL.

As for study, I don't think I've been too productive. This is also probably the first time where I've been worried about a big maths exam. Usually when we get the notification for half yearlies, the common test or yearlies, I skim through the list of topics and think, Okay cool, I cbb studying for that but that's okay cuz I know everything there. But I was going through my maths textbook and the list of topics, and what the fuck, probability? How long did other classes spend on it, cuz I have only 1 or 2 lessons max on probability. We didn't learn shit about probability with Venn diagrams, and stimulation experiments (I think that's what they're called, Idk if they are or not)! So if anyone's studying for maths, then are we supposed to know probability with Venn diagrams and shit? Cuz I really don't wanna learn that.

I asked Diem how far she'd gone with studying, and she said she'd finished commerce, ag and science but she thought she was missing one unit. I also read Wendy's blog and she's done so much, too. WTF guise, how is this possible, LOL. I've only finished chapter 4 and part of chapter 5 for science, but I have my notes for U1-3.1; done a bit for commerce but I don't know if it'll help, cuz I don't know shit about commerce. :I But even so! Everyone's making heaps of progress with their studies. Makes me feel very not smart. And I was meant to be seriously trying to get >90% for like most of my exams. :I

I also checked my Tumblr crushes yesterday (I don't really Tumblr anymore, btw) and all my crushes are pretty much either food or K-Pop blogs. LOL.

Time to continue with ag. I think I'll go Cabra library tomorrow. Who will I see there? :3

Saturday

During the car ride home from Truong, I felt motivated to study and everything. I wasn't even hungry or planning to eat when I got home. In the car, I was thinking about all the work I should do when I get home, and how happy I'll be at the end of the day because I'd done so much work and that I'd be working ahead for the yearly exams. But instead, I got home, blogged and went on Twitter. Then, when I planned to study, I went to my room and sat on the bed, looked at my walls, decided to rearrange the photos on my walls (I was sick of it after 2 weeks of having them up), took too long doing that, then rearranged my fairy lights and now it's all bunched up on my wall. I like how my fairy lights look. :D And I want to print more photos, because all the photos I have on my wall seem so boring now. Just the same few events, I don't know, but I need to print more photos. :p And I will, next time there are 10c prints.

When I got back to the computer, I've just been on Twitter, Lookbook, caught up on my stalk victims on Tumblr and then decided to check out Emily Fitch/Kathryn Prescott's piercings. I've finally been watching Skins season 4, and I love love love her piercings. :D Snug and rook are so niceeee.

For the people that don't know, I actually leave my closet doors open. Well, just one of them. And then I sit behind the door and that's where I stick all my exam notifications and small things that don't have any other place to be. And I like sculpting stuff out of wireee. :D

I'm still kinda sick of my walls, tbh. I'm sick of how my room looks. A few weeks ago (it could've been a few days ago but even yesterday feels like a long time ago :0) I wish I had heaps of money, so I could buy all this crap for my room:

1 A couch
Ages ago, though, I was in Harvey Norman and we were just exploring the display rooms and children's beds and stuff, and when we were walking past the couches, I didn't see any I really liked. I want a couch that has a floral/vintage pattern on it; curved arms and back; raised off the floor; and the arms should bend out. Like the one in the picture, except not white and I don't like how it's got clothes on. LOL. I can't think of the right word, but like by clothes I mean .. couch cover? I don't even know what they're called. But I want to be able to see the feet of my couch. I don't want a leather one, either. And shit, I just realised I think my family friend might have a couch which is almost exactly like the one I'm describing. Faded floral pattern, curved/rounded arms and back, the arms bend out and it's raised off the floor. I don't know what they're going to do with it, but shit, I really want it. :0!!

2 Moar fairy lights
I only have a chain of 10 lights right now (thanks Wendy + Michelle!) and they're really nice, but what I can do with them is a bit limited. Before I rearranged them today, they were spread out along one of my walls. Now, they're bunched up and it's nice, but I wish I had more. I tried looking them up in Ikea (online) just before, but they have new stock so I don't know if they have fairy lights anymore. :( The photo's a bit grainyyyyy.

3 A bookshelf
I actually really need a bookshelf; all my books are just everywhere. On the floor, on top of my drawers, on my bedside table, everywhere. I don't even have that many books, but I'd just use it for all my crap.

This post sucked. Sorry. :(

11.9.10

How is it possible?

Contrasting to Vanessa's most recent post on her Tumblr, I'm looking forward to summer. For me, winter's a bitch and jeans can suck my balls. They're not too bad, but I just see summer as so much better. It's so cold in winter, and I hate having to wear like 4 layers only to be moderately warm, and walking around with cold feet. :( But summer's so much nicer, the photos are brighter and happier, it's warmer, I can wear shorts and singlets, I don't have to worry about being cold, it gets darker later and everything's happier.

Anyway, everyone's going out tonight to either Angela's or watching Despicable Me in 3D with their Truong class. And I'm the only one chilling out here, wearing a sleeping bag (cuz like yeah, that's how I roll at home, LOL) and trying to type up science notes on my DET laptop. I planned this weekend to be my study weekend, and even made a sticky note on my laptop that said STUDY WEEKEND - STUDY WEEKEND - STUDY WEEKEND over and over again, LOL. I should probably be doing better things, like starting my commerce assignment (due Friday) or my PE scrapbook (due next Friday) or typing up study notes. I haven't even gotten the notification for the PE assignment, to be honest. I haven't even seen it. My teacher's never here and we've just been having subs who say they'll leave a note for the next teacher, but don't. :I So that really sucks, maybe I should look at someone else's, soon.

I don't really feel like studying right now. Only my parents are home with me right now, so this whole back area of the house is pretty quiet. Lately, I've been getting really tired. Or getting tired earlier. On Thursday, I couldn't even stay awake on the bus ride home, even though I had a Red Bull shot at around 12pm and was drinking a can of V at the time. I fell asleep at around 11:something yesterday so I didn't end up doing my English review questions until today. Everything's been so crappy since that time when I stayed up really late doing English, and really late doing geography.

Things that make it really inconvenient for me when I try to study: I can't study with any distractions, so I can't concentrate when I'm listening to music; on Twitter, Formspring, Blogger, Tumblr, Youtube, stalking someone, looking at stuff online or MSN; someone else is listening to music or watching something on TV or computer; I'm on the phone (even if no one's talking); I'm eating or drinking anything. So that's why I always end up staying up really late doing assignments, cuz I guess it's just quietest then and I don't have any distractions. Another thing is that since I always shower in the morning on school days, if I don't do it on weekends or other days then my body clock is usually messed up for the rest of the day. Like today, I showered at like 3pm and I only started for realz studying at 5pm and I didn't even last an hour before I went on Blogger. :I

Oh yeah, I was eating a rainbow belt before and now my jaw hurts.
