So high, so so high

I think this is where I reveal to my readers that I actually listen to k-pop and cannot get over U-Cube's Fly So High, hehe.. I fed my cat some pandan sponge cake before, so cute. Anyway, I'm at that time where assessments have piled up and I find myself staying up till 2.30am every day doing work. Feel like editing my layout again - want to completely remove my side bar, but I should probably wait until I make myself a proper header.. and decide on a new URL, LOL. Hoping to post properly soon, after I get this bio assessment out of the way! :(

Accomplished

Wow, so I'm finally back from camp and Twitter! I actually came back at 10pm on Saturday night, and it was such an amazing camp! Heaving around a ~15kg pack on our backs, hiking through uneven grounds, I came back from camp with stiff knees and ankles and hips and shoulders. I love love love my PE class! I'm so sad we haven't been together as a full class for a week, it feels like forever. Having hiked a total distance of around 40km over 3 days, waah such an accomplishment. And that included climbing the Castle, which is was this cliff, I think 800m above sea level? It was optional to climb it or not, and I was one of the 5 who made it... It wasn't even that strenuous, I thought, but I'm so glad I climbed it even though I cut my knee on a branch (ugh), because I heard that the second camp weren't allowed to go to the top cos it was so windy!

I wish I had photos to share with all of you, but unfortunately with assessments and my lack of Facebook, I haven't had the time to stalk my friends for photos yet. :( The 4 hour long bus ride home was so fun, bonded so much with the rest of the group that went... Swear, ever since this camp, I just love my PE class so much and look forward to class so much everyday. :$ Huge thanks to Mr Wilson, Ms Davis and Mr Rookyard for taking us on the trip!

Screwed up chem and finally presented my English speech today, only got maths assessment on Monday! Oh, funnily enough, it was while I was gone I gained around 3 followers! Many thanks, keke. Simply cannot wait for the holidays (delayed birthday parties, getting my L's, midnight session for HP7 and catching up on shopping) next week! :)

Partie traumatic

Quick update while I'm waiting for my chemistry dot points (that I've just spent the past 4 hours working on) to print. I had a dream that I had a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Litas as wore them to school. I remember when I first saw them, I thought they were so ugly and didn't get the hype -- but okay now I take that back, they're beautiful. Really want to get a pair of suede boot wedges though, since there are sales right now.. School photos are tomorrow so I should be sleeping, especially since I have offline tomorrow morning. Probably going to rock up in school looking like a zombie. Like I do every year, since I've got the pale skin for it. Not that I'm freakishly pale or my skin has a dull tone or anything, but I always end up looking pretty shitty in my school photos, the chin of my face looking extra pointy and my hair looking like as tangled as tumbleweed. Yeah, I should go to sleep.

Lonely, lonely, lonely

Giftwrapping zine from Finders Keepers, favourite lilac nail polish, Sushi Bay card (after months, me and Nick have finally reached $30.56 of credit!)

Just a quick post to share that I'll be going on camp from Wednesday to Friday! Pretty exciting - this is the last high school camp most of my peers will be going on, just the lucky few, myself included, who have PE camp a couple weeks after that! To be honest I haven't bothered to make a note exactly where we're going.. from what I've heard though, the weather forecast isn't looking too good. But apparently on camp, we'll have heaps of free time to hang around, and since my whole group of 17 has managed to score ourselves a 'cabin' to ourselves, things are looking pretty exciting! :D

Another thing that has been on my mind lately, is how people change. We grow up, grow out of things, grow into things. We'll have a first time for everything, and a last time for everything. We'll give things up, whether we want to or not. We have our bad days, bad weeks, bad months, but it's our decision which direction we decide to go from there, and what we'll make of things.

When I was in primary school, I used to go to every school swimming, cross country and athletics carnival, then proceed to zone for all carnivals, and continue to regionals for at least one, every year. Since high school, though, it hasn't been like that. In my first year of high school, I stopped going to zone swimming carnivals because I never went to finals night, so never made it. I still went to zone cross country and athletics, then regional athletics. Two years after that, I skipped swimming carnival altogether. Last year, I didn't go to zone cross country because I was sick. And tomorrow is our school athletics carnival.. which I've decided not to go to. Over the years, I've definitely seen a decline in my enthusiasm and participation in these things, but I always went, always made it to zone for at least something, then gone off to regionals as well. It's not that I'm really athletic, because I'm not. The only exercise I ever do is run around 35 metres to the bus stop in the mornings, and occasionally a few minutes of oblique and ab exercises a week. This year will be my first year that I haven't made it to regionals in anything (assuming that I don't make it for cross country, which is highly likely) since I was in year 3, 2003. I guess some things, even though I didn't really put effort into them but still managed to hold onto, actually meant more to me than I thought they did. Lately I've been disappointed by myself in so many ways. For the first time, I've gotten below 50% in an assessment; been watching what I eat at what time; cried in public; only just scraped a spot into the Zone cross country team; felt like I failed ALL of my exams, even though I studied.

Sorry for such a sappy, shitty post - I normally wouldn't be this homo on my blog. Hopefully camp is the best - time to forget about everything!

Things I'd rather do

My sister bought a slice of cake from 85。C for herself today, as a celebration that she's going to be on SBS tv for a couple of seconds, since they're going to be at an art project/workshop she's been doing and they wanted to have a quick interview or something with the people involved.

I think I'll post some photos from the art excursion later today, except none of the photos I like are actually from the art museum. I don't know what I've been doing today, but somehow it's 2am and I'm still online, doing nothing important at all, besides waste time which I could be sleeping.. Have you ever felt so bad about yourself that you just want to commit yourself to learning and studying, that you wanna stay up late and wake up early, just to study? Okay that could probably be just me, but shit days and late nights make me feel like that.

Getting my maths and chem half yearly results today, hoping for the best but expecting the worst, since I know most people didn't do too well. Planning on going to the gym today, too -- ironic how I've been craving creamy seafood marina pasta for the past 3 days, loaded with carbs that I probably will never work off. Excited to go gym, though! Time for me to pack my bag and sleep, goodnight! :D

Dreams came true

Reasons why today is possibly best day ever: I had my last exam which wasn't actually too bad, very late night cramming paid off, my bus driver didn't charge me for the ride and just told me to have a lovely day, I found a book with the prettiest watercolour illustrations ever and plan to buy it off Book Depository as soon as possible, I got a large fries with my small meal at Maccas by accident, I went shopping with my best buds (LOL) Vivian and Grace, Grace is making a new Twitter account, Nick's Samsung Galaxy S2 finally came in and he's coming over later so we can catch up on three episodes of Modern Family on his new phone, my sister bought me an iced coffee and the Urban Outfitters package which my friends and I ordered came in today!! Best day in the world, going to enjoy this freedom before tomorrow, when I actually have to zone back into being a senior and finish off all that effing English work my teacher set us. Oh, and I also discovered possibly one of the best Tumblr's in a long time: Pusheen! Plan to maybe update my blog layout since I'm getting sick of it, but who knows how long I'll take. Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!

Seventh never last

Photo source: Bird on a Wire

The photos from this collection by Bird on a Wire makes me wish summer was back and how it'd still be sunny at 7pm and I would buy iced coffees in the morning and take advantage of how quiet and peaceful Westfields was before the shops opened and people would be there.

Despite it being my 15 months with the boy, I'm feeling pretty shit about my PE exam today and this was the worst I'd ever done in cross country at school level, ever. Not that I did badly, I probably did anyway since my age group is relatively slow, but I'm surprised at how much my motivation to do well in things like these has dropped. I might as well stay online all day, adding things to my wishlist I'll never afford and never leave the house again, live my life forever at home. Probably can't even walk properly at this rate anyway, since I've developed two really gross blisters on my feet.

I can't seem to find the 50mm, let alone the camera at all since I think my brother took it to uni, so sorry for having to use photos from other sources. Pretty sure my life is going through a pretty shitty phase where nothing good is happening and I actually have things to do, but don't want to them.

Supersonic, hypertonic

Past couple of days has made me realise that I have the worst time management ever. I always end up sleeping at at least 3am on the night before exams, and end up either getting a coffee, even though I'm not even into coffee, or missing my bus and hence train and everything. Even with maths, I started studying from midday but still ended sleeping late. Not even because I was studying, but I was on the phone for at least half an hour after I'd stopped studying. Even though we're in exam period and I should be in my 'exam mode' and taking everything seriously, it still doesn't feel like it for me. Which is weird cuz I'm past halfway through my exams. OH YEAH and I changed the image on my sidebar cos I was getting bored and thought it was cute. Off Tumblr, though. All images in this post via Tumblr.

Went to Westfields after school by myself today, wow what a good life I have, and wanted to buy like 4 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 bags and cute pink-purple nail polish (I actually have the shades just above and below this, then they release this in-between colour -- it will be mine). LOL. Really wanna get a pair of winter shorts, some desert boot wedges and I'm still looking for the perfect cropped knitted jumper. Even after exams I don't think I'm going to have money to go shopping, since I keep spending my money on a drink in the morning to stay awake, gross unhealthy food in the afternoon so I'm not dying, and a can of grass jelly before catching the bus home. Man I'm a really bad PE student.

After tutoring today, Nick is meeting me at Canley Heights and we're going to have bun bo hue and pho for dinner, yay. :D Silly boy has never had it before and pronounces 'bun bo hue' all funny, but yay, perfect for a cold night. :D

Visions and revisions

Today I tried on a pair of tan riding boots and realised even though they're completely different and way slimmer than combat boots, they still have that effect and make me look so manly. :( So even though I had a VIP 30% off at Rubi today, I didn't buy anything at Livo besides some green apple licquorice, a new Staedtler eraser and a $5 feather necklace. Whether I actually end up wearing it is a completely different question, and I'm still trying to figure out ways I can somehow rip the feathers off and use them in my art assignment, even though the feathers are probably not the right shape. Or colour. Sorry for the dodgy posts and Tumblr-sourced photos (images via Tumblr and General Pants website), I haven't been doing much besides study or go out. Nick has fallen asleep next to me on the couch while I use his laptop, going through pages from Designsponge and Sarah McNeil's Flickr, trying to look for inspiration. I've only got around a week to pull some shit together for this assessment, and even though I have maybe one or two ideas, they're still a long way from being complete. :( I have a test on differentiation on Saturday morning, as well, and I haven't really studied for that, besides the intense cramming I did three weeks ago. My mum just told me that I have to go and get an injection tomorrow. Eugh, I hate needles.

15.4.11

I'm not just saying that

All images via Tumblr. Hello readers! It's been a while since my last post, and I think I'll be changing parts of my layout soon, whenever I have time .. Which means it probably won't be for a couple of months since I'm that lazy, hurhur. Ever since the holidays started, I've completely lost sense of the day and date, and only realised this morning that it was a Friday because I could hear the rubbish collection vans driving up and down the street. Pretty rancid imagery there but that's how lost I've become. Anyway, apart from completely losing track of the dates, I've been spending the past week or so studying or feeling guilty about not studying for my half yearlies which start on the 2nd day back at school. Oh, and worrying about what I should do for my art assessment, worth 15% or something, due the first day back. I have completely no idea what to do and have virtually done nothing for it, even though this has pretty much been our only task since the beginning of the year. So I guess you could add that to my list of what I've been doing these holidays: feeling like a load of shit for not having done anything interesting for art. Then eating all this junk food to make myself feel better while listening to a playlist of homo k-pop songs I made when I was feeling sad one night. I think I'll drop art next year. The only art-y thing I ever feel like doing is just drawing something, and I still haven't tested out my watercolours. I swear, the few major bonuses about being an art student are just the reputation of being art-y, having access to rape the store room and excursions to the art gallery that end at 1pm, so you can hang out in the city with Art Crew. Anyway, this post was supposed to be a heads up that I'll most likely stop posting, or not as frequently, for a while until my exams are over (9th May). x

Not the best

Hello readers! I'm running out of interesting things to take photos so sorry for the crappy set of photos, and nothing fun has feels like it's been happening in my life, even though I just brought home a whole load of crap from the art department so I can work on my assessment task over our 3 week break. These last few weeks of school has been pretty full on. Since daylight saving, the nights have been so much colder and the mornings, fortunately, a lot brighter -- seriously, that one time I had to leave the house while the streetlights were still on since it was so dark, probably one of the scariest minutes ever, standing there waiting for the bus, LOL. But it kinda sucks now, since it gets darker earlier, meaning the 6.24pm bus is too late for me and I get home while it's pretty dark. :(

Yesterday I found out that the black sequin shorts I'd been watching for a long time now on Urban Outfitters have finally been removed from the site. I'm so sad that they've actually been removed though; but I guess it's my own fault that I didn't buy them, since I'd been watching them for ages, even though they'd already been reduced. I don't think the order from Forever 21 actually got through though -- around 7 weeks ago, my friends organised to combine shipping and buy from Forever 21, and the package still hasn't come yet, leading to the possibilities that either: a) they screwed up and sent our package to somewhere else in the world, maybe Germany or somewhere or b) we never actually ordered in the first place. Either way, I don't think I'll be getting those leatherette hot pants or black wedges. :( I guess that's a good thing though, since I can finally pay my brother the money I owed him and maybe spoil myself with a cheap thrill on eBay, or something like that.

We're actually on holidays right now, but for the past week or so, my sense of time and dates have been pretty off. On Thursday it felt like a Friday, and now that it's Friday, it doesn't feel like the holidays at all. Probably won't be, too, since we have exams the first week back. And while we're speaking of exams and assessments, we got our English assessment tasks back today and I actually got an A, which was completely unexpected. Seriously, I thought I was going to fail that task, I dreaded getting it back and everything, especially since this was the first senior English assessment. I was feeling so down and out of it last night/this morning, knowing that my friends would actually ace it and everything. I'm happy with my mark and have only my brother and God to thank lol, since I probably annoyed the fuck out of Genvin and really prayed that I didn't do too badly. :)

Got take-away pad thai and pad see ew from Holy Basil on Tuesday, and stopped by 7-11 on the way home to finally fulfill my damn cravings for a slurpee, early night out with Nick for our 14 months. :D During exam periods I ate whatever I want, whenever I want. Okay you could probably say that about me even when it's not exam period, but somewhere between lugging around my stupid art cabinet and during the car ride to get slurpees with Nick on Thursday (yeah I felt like it again), I realise that I eat so much crap that I shouldn't, I'm such a bad person LOL. And such a bad PE student. :(

And to end on a happier note, my sister showed me another Maru video. SO CUTE. I want a cat like Maru when I'm older, omg. And I forced Nick to watch this while when we were waiting at red lights in the car.

You see me rollin'

I love Sarah McNeil. :( Everything about her works are just so quiet and soft and delicate and so so so perfect. For me, she is pure inspiration and seriously, I aspire to be like her. You can find more of her works here.

Zzz I feel sorry for my few readers, I haven't blogged anything substantial in what feels like forever, or maybe my life is really that boring. :( See that drawing of the cat up there? With the Micky Mouse pants and split head? Hopefully in the near future, a life sized version of that will be pasted on the school walls. Yeah, that's how we roll in art elective. :D LOL nah but any suggestions (on the cat one) to make it cuter or anything, or any feedback? The other drawings are the other ones I did but decided not to use. Compared to Sarah McNeil's works above, mine look like a load of crap. :(

Yesterday was a closed weekends, meaning all the boarders at my school (because our school's a boarding school for those who want it) get to go home to their families for the weekend and school finishes at 2pm for everyone! :D So after school, Nick drove me, Grace and Vivian to Cabramatta so we wouldn't have to run for the train, haha. We went to the library and did some homework and found some other people there. Nick helped Danica and Simon with mathematical induction, and then complained about how he didn't have a tutoring job while heaps of his other friends did. He didn't even apply for a job, LOL. then me and Nick took a break and went to Woolies to buy chocolate and unhealthy junk food since I was feeling hopeless about work. :( This happens every week when I do homework, seriously, I hate it .. But after asking heaps of questions and probably annoying the crap out of my friends, I finally get it. :$ Me and Nick left the library at around 6pm, drove home, my dad brought home some chicken laska for me and nasi goreng for Nick and omg it was so spicy. :( For those who don't know then I really can't take spicy food, my face was getting hot and sweaty after like 4 bites. :( Anyway, apart from that we got a notification for an English assessment coming up in around 2 weeks! Just thinking about it makes my heart sink, no matter how cliche that sounds, because it actually does. :'( Oh and today I saw Sir Mai at a restaurant in Cabramatta! Funny how I could tell from such small indications: his very nice fingernails, watch, gold bracelet, polo shirt, D&G glasses and gold chained necklace .. LOL. I didn't say hi though because he didn't see me. I haven't seen him in ages. :( Anyway, time to go study, hope everyone has fun tonight if they're going out while I get annoyed that my new red pen has such a dull colour (my old one ran out, I've had it for more than a year and it was such a good pen, the ink was vibrant, it was smooth and the weight of the line was fine but not too skinny. Perfect. /homo).

Oh and sorry readers, for such boring photos. Seriously I don't even know if I've taken any photos this week, I don't even know what I've been doing but I don't think anything interesting has been going on. :( Oh and I forgot to mention, I'm going out with my sister tomorrow to see Ghospatrol! He'll be at Cockle Bay Wharf in Sydney tomorrow from around 12-3pm, making artworks for charity. It's a free event, so if you guys have to time and are willing to, then come! :D

19.2.11

Not a thing that I would change

Hello readers! Do you like my naked Barbie doll and porcelain pug figurine? LOL. I think I've developed some kind of pattern and I think I've been blogging every Saturday for a while now, or if not then it feels like that, LOL. For those who don't know, for me, every Saturday begins at 7.20am where I wake up and get ready for tutor (8.20 to 10.05), eat at Pho Hien with Wendy and Grace, tutor again (11.30 to 1) and then volunteering at the Salvation Army in Canley Vale (1 to 2). By then, all the work and motivation that was going through me during tutoring at the time has completely worn off, and by the time I get home at 2.30, all I want to do is take photos of stupid things, blog and put off doing homework for a couple of hours. :( That's how I roll, LOL.

Anyway, at Salvos I actually don't have much to do so it's pretty much just an hour of going through the clothing racks looking for cheap thrills and exploring all the other stuff they have in store and acting busy while the managers probably watching, LOL. I was going through the bric-a-brac and someone had donated their collection of owl figurines! Was tempted to buy a cute round owl that was reading a book but I didn't, haha, instead I bought the pug figurine (featured above), keke. I thought it was kinda cute. :$ And today when I was volunteering at Salvos I felt all dizzy and gross, felt so out of it. Lucky there weren't that many customers.

Visuals: naked Barbie doll (I never played with them as a child, kinda sad that the first one I buy doesn't have clothes on, $2 at Salvos); new polish from Sportsgirl that is surprisingly chip-resistant, 'Lace' (and yeah I know the photo isn't focused properly, sorry!); sister cooked dinner last night; pug figurine that I bought today; vintage floral shirt that I bought a couple of weeks ago; this week's spread in my Kikki.K diary (I really like the border I glued on, cut out from a Sportsgirl catalogue); another damn crystal necklace that reminds me of a stalactite.

For the record, Nick left to go Melbourne for 3 days at like 7.30am yesterday. And I found out that my sister's friend has the same date with his girlfriend, as mine on 60210. Change the six to a nine and I could've had 90210, which sounds so much catchier. :( LOL kidding. :3

Oh and I'd just like to share this really sweet cover of Just The Way You Are, performed by Kelvin from year 10 at Muticultural Day on Thursday. To be honest, when I heard that someone was singing this song I did the whole 'mentally rolling eyes' kinda thing but when I heard it was on piano, it changed everything. His voice, the piano, everything omg, it's so cute! :D

I'm supposed to be working on art right now but I'm procrastinating that too, since I don't really feel like drawing. The topic we're doing this time is actually pretty cool; Cabinet of Curiosity. Kinda sounds lame like that, but basically we're going through art over the time and collecting/recreating ideas and concepts and stuff, so right now we're looking at cave paintings or something, and our adaptation/recreation of it is that we're drawing whatever we want but keeping it cute and simple (inspired by Ghostpatrol and Miso - their works are amazing and my sister actually got a personalised drawing by Ghostpatrol as a birthday present from her friends last year, how cool right!), then painting it on a life sized scale (or however big you want, really) with ink on brown paper, then cutting it out and permanently pasting it on the walls. It's more exciting than it sounds, for some photos of what we're doing, click here (source: Mitchell)!

It's all really exciting but I haven't managed to make a decent start on mine .. We're also allowed to appropriate some artworks if we're really that desperate, as long as we change or add something of our own to it! As bad as it sounds, I'm tempted to do that but the artworks in mind have tiny details and I would love love love to be able to do, but it'll be too hard with damn ink. :( Still not sure what to do, I just hope I'll like what I do in the end! Sorry to bore you all with such a word-y post, and I know my photos have become kind of repetitive and fall into the same categories of dumb quartz necklaces, my Kikki.K diary and crap I buy, sorry! :( And oh wowwww, I got a message from Wendy of dustyflours! Oh wow, that just made my day, LOL. Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Lunar new year

Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Lunar sounds cool though, teehee, probably wouldn't ever use that word so taking opportunity to use it. :D To all, I wish you a happy new year, good health, happiness and the best of luck. "Every time you thought of giving up, remind your self what kept you holding on." I love that quote, and hopefully some of you lovely readers would. :$

On Chinese New Year Eve, my sister was going to be performing at the temple so me, Nick and Genvin planned to head out later, watch performances and hang around for an hour or two and then go home, since I had school the next day. We ended up getting home at 1.30am since my sister decided to come home with us. Pretty cool that I was allowed to stay out that late with school the next day, but I actually had offline maths the next morning so I had to wake up almost a whole hour earlier than I usually do, FML. u__u" At the temple, we asked people how old they thought me, Genvin and Nick were, and so many people thought I was oldest, or Genvin was older than everyone, it was pretty funny. :) Really coincidental too, because it turns out that my sister's friend's girlfriend's brother is actually our chem teacher at Peak, Steven. And Peter, the other sub we had was there too. Next day, me and my sister were going through photos from the night before on Facebook, saw a photo with one of the Peak subs in it, clicked on his profile and turns out we were going through his album of photos from CNYE. WHAT IS THE CHANCE OF ALL OF THIS HAPPENING, LOL. All CNYE photos taken by Peter Phan.

School resumed a couple of days ago, and I've been pretty dead with homework (since I plan to actually do it this year .. Only I didn't finish maths homework last night, looks like I broke a 2 days streak), waiting for damn buses in fucking 37 degree heat and trying to sit in the most comfortable position I can find that doesn't accumulate gross sweat patches on this new senior dress. Compared to year 10, the workload of year 11 is actually a lot more and by a lot. I handed in my form to switch classes today, and hopefully I don't cause too much trouble with my timetable since I handed a form in last year requesting changes to my coming timetable, which didn't end up coming up. It's confusing. :( I'm probably liking PE with Wilso the most right now, or maybe that's because we talk and discuss more than we actually write.

Probably the best thing about school right now is that I finally have a diary (organiser/scrapbook) that I use consistently. And being able to walk through the Hall of Honour.

Other stuff that I need to mention somewhere: a) I can't wait for swimming carnival! 10th February, Macarthur Miami, I hope I can find some Hawaiian shirts to slut up and wear! LOL.
b) Year 11 Interact members are organising Valentine's this year for school! I put my name down to help bake some cookies, so you all better buy from the cookie stall (15/2 I think). AND FROM OUR NEM NUONG STALL ON TUESDAY! c) In the daily notices, they called nem nuong 'memory sticks' - WHAT THE HELL. d) I bought some stuff on eBay on the 10th January and my package still hasn't arrived. e) Cousins and aunt came over during the day and I came home today and found 6 unopened li xi on my bed! Love Chinese New Year, wheww! f) This Sunday it'll be my one year anniversary with Nick, yay! :)

Tomorrow it'll be 42 degrees and I'm going to be busy tomorrow from 8am to around 3:30pm. I hope everyone has a wonderful time lounging in air conditioning or if you're outdoors then stay hydrated! :D My blog feels so empty and isolated, comment/Formspring me?

You'll be surprised

Nothing usually happens on Saturdays, even with tutoring and the hour of volunteering I get done at Salvo's after tutor, so already, when my dad drove me to tutor in a BMW, it was pretty cool with its sleek leather interior design and almost pristine condition. My dad has a job driving a wedding car on some Saturdays, and this Saturday was one of them. Take note that this is not our car, although my dad takes care of it well – regularly hosing it down, wiping it with a cloth and making sure no rubbish is left inside. To be honest, I don't really know how the job works, but I know he drives a wedding car around. Not a limousine or anything, but it's a silver BMW, with white ribbons tied 'wedding style' (LOL if you get what I mean) at the front and back, and it has such an Asian number plate, made up solely of 8's and capital B's, since they're the closest letter you can find that looks like an 8.

The intersection between South Liverpool Road and Banks Road. Pretty essential in our route to Cabramatta, Canley Vale, and anywhere in that region, right? So we were driving and at the intersection, we usually continue straight. We were the first car when we reached the intersection, and the light turned green before we reached it, so we could continue driving straight forward. But on the other side of the road, standing around the white lines, was a man, big-ish build, not the most ripped person you could find but with a decent amount of muscle, pale, brown hair, maybe around his 20s-30s.

Topless. And covered in blood.

To clarify things, by covered in blood I don't mean he was bleeding. I mean he had blood smeared on his body – whether it was his own or not, I don't know. When you see a topless man on the road, you'd suspect at the very least that they're just still wasted from what happened last night and you try to drive around him. But when he's covered in blood, it's different. When he holds up his hand in a surrendering position, it's different. When he holds up his hand, revealing that they, too, are completely red with blood, it's different. When he blocks your way, starts walking the few metres between the car and himself and lets the shirt he's holding in his hand bleed red stains on the ribbon that is tied onto the car, it's fucking different. Small flicks of blood on our windscreen and more bloodstains on the white ribbon, he's asks for my dad to 'call 000, I'm fucked up, mate'.

Scared fucking shitless in the front seat, I did not say a word. I felt so bad for my dad and even though I'm silent, I'm glad he wasn't alone. The lights in our direction turned red again, but the cars that were supposed to be moving could see what was happening and didn't force their way through. My dad reversed the car and we turn left, onto Banks Road. My dad didn't go more than 10m before he pulled over to the left and called the police. He described what happened and the appearance of the man, only he accidentally said North Liverpool Road instead of South Liverpool Road. While on the phone, my dad got a cloth from the boot and wiped off the blood, but we had to go – we were running late, now.

'Fucking idiot,' my dad said. Indeed he was a fucking idiot, Dad.

With one hand on the steering wheel and the other picking the masking tape that held the front ribbon up, we made a different route to Fairfield. It was on my mind for the whole ride there and during class, both maths and English, even though we had an assessment at English today, which I don't think I did well in. So if anyone realised that I was quieter during and after maths, in Canley Heights and during English tutor, then that's why I wasn't talking, and that's why I almost got hit by a car when I was crossing the road to Truong (as Edbert reminded me before English – and apparently that was really scary for him). I felt so bad for my dad, and could tell he was so stressed and upset. :(

In other news, today was my last day of volunteering at Salvo's for the year, unless I decide to visit sometime before they close for the year. Surprisingly, it was pretty good this week and despite of my behaviour at English, I felt like talking to a lot of people at Salvo's, since I don't know pretty much everyone there. So today I talked to some of the other workers there.. I used to sometimes talk to one of the volunteers there, Ngoc, who was a teacher at Cabramatta West Public School and taught Angela's sister, but she hasn't come in weeks. Today, I talked to Bobby (who I've seen for weeks and weeks now), Anwar (who I saw only today) and this Vietnamese/Chinese guy that I didn't get the name of (but I've seen him for weeks as well).

For those who don't know, the people who help out at Salvo's are either there for volunteering, or community service – meaning they're only here because they've been ordered to complete a set number of hours of community service by court. I was the only volunteer here today. The rest of the workers there are all around 30-40, maybe even older, but the two were really nice and bubbly when they talked to me, just like everyone else at Salvo's. :) It was really nice to properly talk to the other workers here, especially since I've seen some of them every Saturday for a couple of weeks now. I wonder if I'll see them again after Christmas and the New Year, but I doubt it.. :(

On a happier note, I bought the pair of Lee's that I'd been eyeing for a month now! They were finally on sale too, so I got them for $5. You'd think size 8 would fit, but these were surprisingly baggy and big for me when I got home. Still, I cut them into shorts and I'm wondering if I should do anything more to these shorts – maybe they look a little plain? I spent annoyingly long to get the right cut for these shorts, maybe because I haven't made cutoffs in a while.. So what do you guys think, any suggestions? :D (And yes, I realise that it's not properly focussed in the first picture – please, I'm still a noob and it's self timer here, I can't help it, haha.)

Time to go to a party at my mum's church now! :3 / RE: (9:39pm) I just got home from what I think was the Christmas party at the church. Ended up seeing Brendan Tong, Brendan and Aaron Singh and my old friend Amy! :D
